Terms of Service

Last Updated: June 14, 2026

1. Introduction

Welcome to verdict (the "Service"), operated by The Verdict Company ("we," "our," or "us"). By accessing our website at verdict.cx, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Use of Service

Verdict provides a platform for talent evaluation and ranking. You are responsible for any activity that occurs under your account. You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.

You are responsible for the content, candidate information, evaluation criteria, prompts, notes, files, and other materials you submit to the Service, and for ensuring that you have the necessary rights and permissions to submit and process that information.

3. Accounts & Workspaces

To use certain features, you must register for an account (typically via Google Authentication). You must provide accurate information and keep your account secure. Workspaces are environments where you can manage evaluations; access to these is governed by the workspace creator.

4. Payments & Refunds

Our service operates on monthly workspace subscriptions with a selected Verdict Credit allowance. All payments are processed through DodoPayments.

  • Subscription fees are billed according to the monthly credit allowance selected for the workspace.
  • Unused monthly credits expire at renewal and do not roll over.
  • Due to the digital nature of the signal extraction and AI analysis provided, refunds are generally not provided once an evaluation has been initiated.
  • Exceptions may be made at our sole discretion in cases of technical failure.

5. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality (including our proprietary ranking algorithms, prompts, workflows, product design, and "Elo" leaderboard systems) are and will remain the exclusive property of The Verdict Company.

As between you and Verdict, your submitted content and workspace data belong to you. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, store, copy, transmit, analyze, process, display, and create outputs from that content as needed to provide, secure, support, maintain, debug, and improve the Service.

6. Data & Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using Verdict, you acknowledge that we may collect, analyze, and process account data, usage data, submitted content, candidate submissions, evaluation criteria, generated outputs, and related metadata as described in the Privacy Policy.

You also acknowledge that submitted content may be processed by third-party infrastructure, analytics, and AI providers, including providers such as Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, Groq, or similar service providers, to deliver and improve the Service. We do not sell your personal information or submitted content to third parties.

7. AI Outputs and Evaluation Decisions

Verdict uses automated and AI-assisted systems to analyze submissions and produce rankings, summaries, comparisons, scores, and other outputs. These outputs are provided for decision support and may be incomplete, inaccurate, or reflect limitations in the submitted data, evaluation criteria, or model behavior.

You are responsible for reviewing outputs and making your own hiring, evaluation, business, or operational decisions. Verdict does not guarantee any specific candidate outcome, hiring result, legal compliance outcome, or business result.

8. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall The Verdict Company be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or use, arising out of your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the workspace subscription period in question.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including breach of these Terms.

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which The Verdict Company is registered, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
